JEAN-BAPTISTE RONGE 16-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 39510, circa 1910, 27 1/2in. nitro barrels with matt rib, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, unsigned sideclipped treble action with 'JBR' within a crowned star (most likely the mark of maker Jean-Baptiste Ronge), hidden third bite, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, border engraving, the fences carved with oak leaves, blued finish, 14 3/4in. figured stock including 1in. wooden extension (fore-end wood with slight split and insert repair) weight 6lb. 9oz.
